Home-Made Love Coupon Book

A little on the cheap side this year? Give a gift from the heart!
Make your own Love Coupon Book with coupons personalized fro whomever you wish to give to! I made this one for my Fiance` and he loved it!

First you will need to make some coupons. I used Picnik.com because I liked all the Christmas borders and decorations. You could use any program you prefer. If you run out of ideas just Google "love coupon ideas" and some cute ones will pop up!

Next print your coupons and gather the rest of your supplies.
  • Printed coupons
  • Cardboard or card stock
  • Wrapping paper
  • Scissors
  • Staples and stapler
  • Tape
  • Ribbon or string

After you get your coupons cut out, begin wrapping your cardboard with wrapping paper to make the cover of your coupon book.

Start with the inside cover. You don't have to be really neat with this part.

Make sure to cut a slit in the middle so the paper doesn't bubble and rumple when the book is opened and closed.

Now you can begin wrapping the outside of the cover. Fold in the edges so that you don't paper cut your loved one!

Just like wrapping a present!
: )

If you cut your paper to short, just add an extra fold.

As many as it takes! LOL!

Keep wrapping.

Be sure to cut your slit in the middle.

This should be what the inside of your cover looks like.

Add your title to the front cover.

Staple all of your coupons together.

Use a piece of ribbon or string to tie the coupons into the book by securing the ribbon in the middle of the coupons.

Tie coupons into book.

Ta-Da!!!
You just made the perfect holiday gift!
A DIY personalized Love Coupon Book!

Hope everyone enjoys this project!

 Home-Made Wreathe

First, you will need to gather your supplies. I am being cheap and only using what I have on hand. For those of you who will be shopping for new items to make your wreath, I highly suggest buying some floral wire to use instead of paper clips. But, if you are put on the spot, paper clips work too.

You can choose to use store-bought garland of your choice, or make a natural fresh wreathe using "bowes of holly" or even pine twigs. I clipped some sprigs of holly from the bushes outside.

Begin forming your wreathe by finding the sturdiest pieces of holly to be the base. Start by laying them in a line and tying them together with your floral wire. If you are using paper clips, simply straighten the paper clip out, then twine them around the sprigs just as you would with floral wire. You may have to use more than one paperclip to get a firm hold.
*This can be fun project to do with the kids, but remember that the wire or paper clips can give you a good poke, so let the adults handle that part!

After you get your line ready, start to gently form the circle of the wreath. At regular intervals, tie the circle with your floral wire. Add more "fluff" or filler s you go round. I clipped some small sprigs to use as extra filler to make my wreath larger and fuller.

Once you have your basic wreath done, you can begin to personalize it any way you want! Choose colors that match your Christmas tree or your regular color scheme.
Ribbon or garland wrapped around the wreath help to make it even fuller.

Add any decorations you like. I chose to use a penguin and some paper snowflakes simply because I didn't have a lot to choose from. You could use ornaments that match your tree or for a more natural look, use apples and pears!

Hope you enjoy this project!
