Locked Away

Immensely intense emotions
pooling with notions
in oceans
under hazel sunsets
in sightless dreams
that fade to nightmares
as reality sinks in
again and again
a feeling so empty
it implodes on itself
in a lost maze
of claustraphobia
and regrets
drenched in pain
soaked in despair
and hidden like a
secret treasure where
no one
can see

Walk alone in the rain
Feel it wash away the pain
Feel it rinse my tears
As if it can hide my fears
I'm living but not alive
Day after day I strive
To be more than this shell
Drifting through this hell
I am just as broken as you
But my mask cant be seen through
I'm too good at what do
Sometimes I can fool myself too
Wake up and see the world
Let the veil come unfurled
And see the truth in life
